Wee Beasties

Chapter VII Part II

Where is the nearest wetland habitat to your home? Do you know of an area where the ground stays wet most of the time where frogs and other amphibians might like to hang out? This could be a big puddle, a pond, a creek, or damp area. Listen at night to see if you can hear the frogs and find out where they are!  During the day, take a journey with your parent or caregiver to a wetland, put your nose close to the mud like Sir Malcolm and Jane and see what you can find!

Can you imagine what it might be like to live in a place like that - part in the water and part on land?

Remember if you feel compelled to pick up one of the wetland wee beasties, cover your hands with mud first and be gentle!

Have fun!
